July's Daybook.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...
It is grey; the kookaburra who visits daily is not here yet.

I am thinking...
about the next job I would like to finish before sitting down to read.

I am thankful...
for the girls who are playing happily together.

In the kitchen...
I will marinate some beef and cook some noodles with it for dinner.

I am wearing...
black and grey layers; leggings/jumpers/skirt and scarf.

I am creating...
...well only an idea at this stage to update kitchen cupboard doors.

I am going...
to try and bake a fruitcake today as well.

I am wondering...
when I will see the movie "The Lunchbox".

I am reading...
the second book about the Cazalet family; sorry it is in my bedroom and I have forgotten the title.

I am hoping...
to be more mindful of the present and to read Isaiah and keep up with the sermon series at church.

I am looking forward to...
a warm time on the couch with our family this evening.  Perhaps a sunset like yesterday's?  Unlikely though.

I am learning...
about starters and baking.

Around the house...
the washing is under control.

I am pondering...
how some of my local friends are whom I have not seen a lot of recently.

One of my favorite things...
candlelight and music by The Andrews Sisters.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Dyslexia program, appointments, plumber/internet cable/skylight possibilities..

A peek into my day...
well yesterday, when a lovely couple from our church came over; all dressed up for a ride in the vintage car and then a nice afternoon tea.

Herman Delivers.

The starter mix was quite large today; a belated day 10 as I forgot to 'feed' the mixture on day 9.
I baked a marble chocolate cake, 2 lemon drizzle bar cakes and at least 18 lemon drizzle cupcakes.

Dawn at the Lakehouse.

Husband E took this photo while we were at the lakehouse...

At the Beginning of the Day...

I have lemon squeezed into water and then a cup of black tea.
A good wake up call!
