Rosemary.

I had a morning to do this drawing.  I was happy with some elements in it but certainly not all.  If I have not drawn for a while; I feel as though I need to revisit the pointers that I was given to show depth and shading.  I did not have time to do that yesterday.

Rosemary, in rememberance for ANZAC Day.  This drawing was given to our 13 year old niece for her birthday.  She is very good at drawing.

Lurpak Butter Biscuits (Cookies)

Seven year old daughter enjoyed making biscuits with me yesterday, she was the only child at home.

We got this recipe from a magazine commercial for Lurpak butter.

250g butter
125g icing sugar
1 egg
350g flour

Mix and then roll into a sausage.  Put in the fridge till harder (we could only wait 20minutes).  Cut into disks, place on a baking tray and bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

We iced some with plain icing, some with passionfruit icing and others were left plain.

Mothers in the Mountains.

It was the annual weekend to the mountains with mothers from our local schools.  When I arrived home, there were lovely signs and decorations to welcome me home.  Husband E had looked after the children and got some jobs done too, it was a lovely home coming.

The ladies who went spoilt me with gifts..... this mug complements a growing set.  I enjoyed it this morning with my morning coffee.

I collected some Autumn leaves from a walk in the park while I was in the mountains......

I bought a lovely hook for each of the children and husband E in anticipation of Winter jackets and scarves.

A door stop was a necessary find as the front door often slams shut.

My love for wombats is indulged,  this was one of the teatowels that I was given, so gorgeous....

A lovely, bright bag.... see I was spoilt!

A pair of sweet, wooden birds, now placed behind the frame that the same lovely lady gave to me last year.

A Huon pine bird, that smells lovely and will live in my cupboard.....

Aunty L indulged my love for Noddy and "Mary Poppins" with this box (that looks like a book that I had as a child) and the umbrella below.  What fun when the children saw these......

A very special weekend with friends, excellent company, time to be in company or alone..... I  really appreciate the weekend as our husbands all pull together and work behind the scenes to allow us to go without worrying about the home front.....
I also came home with lovely napkins, coasters, tea, soaps and relishes.... more gifts from friends....
Lovely ladies who all enjoy chatting, shopping, eating, resting, walking, exploring and then returning to their families.

Eggs for Breakfast.

On my first morning home, the children thought that their mother had flipped, as there were 2 eggs on their plate for breakfast; they were lollies!  Thankyou Mrs M!

A Beautiful Beach.

The beach near the caravan is amazing and we have already enjoyed it in the final days of Summer.

Posting Out of Order.

NB, I am not sure if it will pop up, but I have finished loading photo's of our time in Japan, but they are all posted within February (I like things to be ordered thus...)

The Caravan.

We love playing at the beach and now we have a van and annexe to eat in, sleep in ,take a shower and leave swimmers till the next time we can come here.....
We enjoyed the last warmth of Summer over Easter and now the mode will change to games and hot chocolate.  I thoroughly enjoyed jumping waves with the older two and the younger two loved being pulled by husband E through the water at the shore.
