Till 2012...

Sadly we farewell the Olympics from our screens....so many achievements. The children, E and I had sandwiches in front of the television.

Moving Monday.

The heart is pumping as this morning we had a lot to do! Early to school for piano, but also the older two had to put on their Olympic outfits as their school is having an Olympic Day. Our family has been designated Great Britain as our country to represent. There will be sporting activities and the school canteen has an international menu. 9 year old son has chosen a hamburger (America) and 6 year old daughter has chosen pancakes and maple syrup (Canada). The children were very excited.

Let the Games Begin.

Last night I attempted to stay up to watch the soccer game between Australia and Serbia. I managed the first half. Tonight will be an epic as E, the two older children and I try to stay up to watch the Opening Ceremony. We will be having a special dinner: fried rice (China), homemade pizza (Italy), vegemite sandwiches (Australia), Pastizzi (European filo pastries) and satay sticks (Thailand). I would like to have some biltong (South Africa), but I will only be able to get some on the weekend.
The only consideration is that tomorrow we have a frightfully early soccer game far away from home.......
