More Muffins.

Just had a quiet morning sorting through the toys on the floor and baking muffins. The recipe is the same as the blueberry muffins, however this time I added raspberries and white chocolate chips. The quantities are ample and if you double, you will be making many, many muffins. I realised as I photographed the muffins that they are not 'staged' very nicely, just dumped, upside down. Lucky they taste good.....

Sabbath

"On the day of judgement, everyone will have to account for every careless word they have spoken. On that day they will be told that they are either innocent or guilty because of the things they have said."

Matthew 12:36-37

Quiet Moment.

Spent staring at the leaves on the trees and thinking about the hills in the Blue Mountains. We had a lot of wind last night. This is a favourite image of mine; "Hill upon hill...."

Simply Saturday

Husband E out bike riding in the cold again and all our girls are busy playing together. 9 year old boy and I are eating our breakfast. A busy weekend coming up: soccer, slides tonight with E's family, church tomorrow and then our neighbours over for afternoon tea. All GOOD things. I will bake some muffins tomorrow. Clannad is playing in the background and I am enjoying it.

I will look forward to the next week where I will be preparing different foods for different occasions: afternoon tea, morning tea and a lunch.

Quiet Moment

After a busy morning of puzzles, books, toys, drawing, snacks and a special show on TV; I am ready to do a few more jobs in the quiet.... Also to sit still long enough so that the cat can join me. A cup of tea perhaps and some hazlenut chocolate.....

Fresh Produce Friday

As I place orders and shop I am planning meals for next week. They will include roast beef, bacon and lentil soup (again), teriyaki chicken OR chicken pie and beef pies for a lunch I am hosting.

We have been given a lot of lemons and grapefruits so husband E is juicing the grapefruit for himself as well as orange juice.

Finally Friday

Last night I took our 9 year old son for a haircut and then he accompanied me to the shops. We had sushi and did the grocery shopping. It was a good lesson for him to see what money can buy. We are blessed now to have replenished our pantry and fridge stock. Now I will just await my delivery of fresh produce.

Our pantry has large rectangular boxes that house various produce in quantity. For example, one box holds dried fruits and muesli bars, another crackers and popcorn. They stack two high. This has worked for us for many years. I feel as though I am getting quite personal showing the inside of my pantry!
