We put this gate on to the kitchen entry when 8 year old daughter was a preschooler and 5 year old daughter was a new born baby. I liked having it for safety issues, to keep little people away from boiling pots. Also, just to have a little personal space!
Well, the gate is coming off one of its hinges and we feel as though we can now remove it. Our youngest is 3, but she knows the rules. We haven't actually closed it for a long time.
