A Day of Woodwork.
A day of woodwork for husband E and 8 year old daughter helped. The above toy is a wombat for husband E's God daugther and niece. The chair is from Mrs Dutch Ball down the road.
A Weekend at the Farm.
My parents took my sister and our family to stay at a farm for a long weekend. We celebrated birthdays and retirement, ate lots of food and saw many changes in the weather. As 14 year old son said, if we had not had the day of rain, the falls would not have been as spectacular the next day.
Lovely memories.

Attic 24 Choc Chip Cookies.
Attic 24 Choc Chip Cookies:
200g butter
150g brown sugar, whip together
Add 4T golden syrup
350g Self Raising Flour
choc chips (and we added caramel drops as well)
Bake 180 degrees for 10minutes.
So very good.
Hooks and Tiles.
I found two framed French tiles in Blackheath in the mountains. I bought them because I liked them and I thought that I had a place for them. Upon returning home, I realised that the spot I had had in mind was not quite right....so husband E has made a hook for me and we have hung one on a box and the other is in 11 year old daughter's room.
I bought some more of these hooks as well. This one is next to the piano and has 8 year old daughter's piano music hanging from it.

Bananas and Bay Leaves.
My neighbour has just dropped by with this large bunch of sugar bananas and bay leaves. She has a self sustaining garden right over the fence. Cucumbers, tomatoes, capsicum, zucchini, parsley and lettuce have been gifts from her before.

Away from the Family for a Weekend.
Our annual weekend in the mountains; my local friends made the occasion special.
Instead of just shopping this year, I decided to explore the back streets of some mountain suburbs.
We also enjoyed our highlight of cocktails and cheese at the Carrington Hotel. A fantastic weekend.
I came home with an apple pie, some French tiles and French soap and a candle with a holder. So pleased. Refreshed and happy to be home.
Some lovely welcoming cards/flowers/hugs at home and husband E had outdone himself with washing windows and many other jobs. 8 year old daughter had built a wooden aeroplane as well. I had left everybody with a 'pillow present' before I left home and a note for each child.
