A Day of Quiet...

4 year old daughter was sick throughout the night, so the washing machine is very busy this morning. We will spend a lot of the day sitting quietly together in the warmth.
6 year old daughter picked some jasmine for me. It smells wonderful.

Edith Schaeffer in her book, What is a Family, wrote how when a family member is sick, we should a remember how this period of time is just a portion of the whole of life,(this is not the quote, only a gist of what she said). It does make for quiet times. I'll pray extra strength prayers for you.

Blessings on you...and a good night of rest. For you and your daughter. I had a 2 yr old in the same spot a couple nights ago. That feeling of dread, mixed with compassion and love,...just wanting your baby to feel better.

Happened upon your blog through Julie. I hope your sweet little thing is feeling better soon. And what a sweetheart your 4y/o is.

I love Jasmine. A very dear friend of mine, like a sister, moved away several years ago and she grew Jasmine by her front door. What a heavenly smell. I want to grow it at my house so every time it blooms I think of her, but my husband has allergies. :/

Sorry to hear your daughter is sick. A quiet day at home is just what you both need. Wishing her a quick recovery.
